🏍️ I Left My CRF Behind — But Why? | Manang Ride Part 2 Why did I leave my Honda CRF 250L behind and choose a Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 for my long-awaited journey to Manang? 🤔🏔️ Welcome back to Trekking and Riding With Rupendra! After years of dreaming about riding to Manang, the journey has finally begun. In this episode, I leave Pokhara behind and ride towards Lamjung and Besisahar on a rented Royal Enfield Himalayan 411, arranged through Rohan’s Bike Company. But there is a reason why I am not riding my own Honda CRF. Throughout this journey, I explain why I decided to leave my CRF 250L behind and take the Himalayan 411 instead. From the height of my CRF and the challenging terrain expected ahead, to the difficulty of finding spare parts in remote Himalayan areas, several practical reasons influenced my decision. And now comes the exciting part: Will the Himalayan 411 prove to be the right choice for my Manang adventure? This journey also takes me through Tanahun and Lamjung, including Bhanu Chowk, the birthplace of the great Nepali poet Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, whom I am proud to say was one of my ancestors several generations ago. Along the way, there are busy and dusty roads, a much lighter travel bag, a long wait for food, a fuel stop, beautiful countryside and finally our arrival in Besisahar towards the end of the day. I also share my thoughts on something I have learned through many years of trekking and riding: Travel is not simply about reaching a destination. It is about enjoying the journey, meeting people and making the most of every moment. After reaching Lamjung Myagdi, it is time to relax, recharge and prepare for the next stage of this Manang adventure.
