At its heart is a story about distance: hearing the sea through someone else's phone, recognising the room behind their face, and finally deciding to come home. The musical palette brings together different regional inspirations, including Australian didgeridoo and haka-inspired vocal energy associated with Māori performance in Aotearoa New Zealand.
