In the Taittiriya Upanishad’s understanding of the universe, these five elements are more than just parts of nature. They are the fundamental principles through which creation unfolds - from the vastness of space and the movement of air to fire, water, and finally, earth. Srishti explores this journey through movement, imagery and sound, bringing together the five elements and the idea of how life begins to take form. From the stillness of Ākāśa to the movement of Vāyu, the transformation of Agni, the flow of Āpaḥ and the grounding presence of Pṛthvī - this is a visual journey into one of the oldest ways of understanding creation.
