This presentation took place as part of Library Evidence Synthesis Services Symposium (LESSS) June 15-18 2026. This is Session 3B. This session titled, Under New Management: Restructuring an Established Service for Long Term Sustainability discusses shares how it restructured its service to improve sustainability, consistency, and workload management. The team discusses creating a formal team lead role, standardizing workflows, improving project and time tracking, redesigning service policies, and integrating tools such as Airtable, Jotform, and Google Drive. The presentation also highlights Brown’s new intake consultation process, which helps researchers refine their questions, understand service expectations, select an appropriate review method, and prepare protocols while waiting for a librarian. The speakers reflect on lessons from the pilot year, including the value of a two-tier service model, better use of librarian expertise, and the need to formally recognize the administrative workload of evidence synthesis leadership. #EvidenceSynthesis #SystematicReviews #AcademicLibraries #ResearchSupport #LibraryManagement #ServiceDesign #LESSS2026
