Wellwood Ave Railroad Crossing #1 Compilation 2022-2025 - Lindenhurst, NY

All videos I have filmed of the Wellwood Ave railroad crossing in Lindenhurst, NY on the Long Island Railroad Central Branch Line so far between Feb 10, 2022 and Sept 27th, 2025. since then there have only been 2 changes, the NEG incandeacent barrier here being replaced on 3/15/2022 with a new barrier with NEG Alstom LEDs and the bushes being cut down in September 2025. The trains I have caught through here so far are all LIRR C3 double deckers with DE/DM30AC locomotives with a variety of horns and some C3 cab car horns. This crossing features one of two remaining 1st gen WCH mechanical crossing bells left on the Central Branch, there used to be 3 on this line until New Hwy's was replaced in May 2016. The central branch also has the last neighboring crossings in Long Island that each retain at least one 1st gen WCH mechanical bell with Straight Path and Wellwood Ave each retaining one each. Straight path sounds healthy whereas this one sounds rough. They are by far the most western WCH 1st gen bells in Suffolk, and the last ones in Western Suffolk. The closest 1st gen WCH mechanical bells to here are all the way in Oyster Bay, and Eastport. There was also a RACO mechanical bell that remained on this line until Oct/Nov 2018 at the Albany Ave crossing, but it was sadly replaced with a WCH newer 2nd gen mechanical bell.
