This season of the World Cup Downhill saw Tuned Mass Dampers (or TMDs) being bolted to the forks and frames of many bikes such as Mondraker, Commencal, and Trek. Loris Vergier even used two on his World Championship winning Trek Session! But what do they do? Are they worth the hype? Should we mere mortals be running them?
