Old Grey Bench

This is an older park bench that lived patiently in one of our gardens for many years. It was in desperate need of a refresh, and new wood. Using various wire wheels on the cast iron, the bare metal was finally exposed and ready for paint. Spraying 3 coats of Rust-Oleum (Seaside) paint/primer on all the iron parts. The wood was finished in outdoor Varathane satin clear. (Waterbased) Rather than carriage bolts, I attached the wood from behind using stainless steel #10 x 3/4" screws.
