The piece is included here as a bonus track for the album and is currently the only bonus track as of this video’s release. Tamir is also the composer behind Woody Tombstones, the forest theme used in the PvZ DLC mod for the first game, as well as one of the bonus tracks featured in the album covering the original game. Just as your neighbor Dave fired up Penny for yet another trip to re‑eat the beloved taco that he just ate not too long ago, something went catastrophically wrong. Instead of locking onto the correct moment, Penny’s chronometer glitched, sparked, and launched both you and Dave straight into Ancient Egypt, 2500 BC. But this isn’t the peaceful desert recorded in modern history. It’s clear something has disrupted the timeline. The moment you arrive, the sands are teeming with zombies, shambling out of tombs, rising from burial chambers, and wandering through ruins that should have remained untouched for millennia. He isn’t here for no reason, as he’s manipulating history itself in an effort to finally devour Dave’s brains. After a while, Ancient Egypt is finally here for you to listen to, and the full album is now available on Bandcamp for both streaming and free downloading. Ancient Egypt is the game’s first world, and one of the three worlds available at launch. It’s designed to be the most straightforward area, introducing players to the core mechanics through a simple progression of 25 levels. Serving as the entry point in both the international and Chinese versions of PvZ2. The international release also includes a tougher 10‑level expansion—originally eight levels before the 9.1.1 update and once labeled Ancient Egypt Days 26–35 prior to version 7.4.1. Ancient Egypt’s main world gimmick is gravestones, which appear throughout the world as solid obstacles that block straight‑firing projectiles and force players to adjust their lane control—often by relying on lobbing plants like Cabbage‑pult to bypass them, since lobbing plants completely counter the gimmick.
