Before asking everyone else to change, look in the mirror: what can I do better? That question is where PASS IT ON begins. We released this song and choreography at SALSATION® Blast Malaysia, but its message belongs wherever you are—in a dance class, at work, in your relationships, or building something you believe in. It’s easy to see what someone else should fix. Being honest with ourselves takes more courage. What am I avoiding? What can I learn? What can I do differently? Those questions give us somewhere to start—and something we can act on. PASS IT ON also carries the spirit of the infinite game. There is always more to learn and contribute. A high point isn’t the finish line, and a difficult season doesn’t decide the whole story. We can celebrate a success, learn from a setback, and keep moving with purpose. But moving forward also asks us to think about what success means. What would I gain if I reached the top alone? Recognition can feel good. Reaching a goal matters. Yet there’s something deeply meaningful about seeing someone grow because you shared what you knew, trusted their potential, or gave them an opportunity. For an instructor, that might mean helping a student find confidence or making space for another instructor to develop. For anyone, it can be as simple as teaching something that took you years to learn, opening a door, or offering a hand when someone needs it. Someone else’s light doesn’t take anything away from yours. And if they go further than you did, imagine the joy of knowing you helped them begin. That is the intention behind PASS IT ON: look honestly at yourself, keep learning, and let what you learn become useful to someone else. Dance it. Listen to the words. Make it your own. Tell me in the comments: which line speaks to you most? And if you’re dancing this choreography in your classes, I’d love to hear how your students connect with it. We rise by lifting others.
