Limited resources, high casualties, uncertain terrain and game mechanics to mimic physical restrictions of each encounter make the games fun and challenging. Rarely on sale these games should be fairly inexpensive on Steam or perhaps Slitherine/Matrix or Wargame Design Studios though once hit WDS you may never go back to a 'lite' wargame again. In my spare time of late these four get some play, though Iwo is just relentless in weeding down your Marines and the AI is well dug in not prone to less than optimum attacks. Drive on Moscow has a vid and Iwo as well not yet on the other 2. Krim is just for the Soviet just always less than needed and the Germans just need one more armor one more unit yet it arrives late and then well .... Operation Husky is the most straightforward battle you set your sites and smite the defenders, just keep hammering you have more they have less. Operation Husky developed by one person Hubert Cachat and he has some other titles though not like this, check him out on Steam, A gaming channel aiming to bend games and have fun with them.
