April 3, 1996. FBI agents knock on the door of a one-room cabin outside Lincoln, Montana. They're here for the Unabomber – the man behind 16 bombs over 17 years. But a brother's hunch isn't proof. This is the Unabomber case taken apart, link by link: how the FBI went from a name to Ted Kaczynski's words to the cabin, using the evidence itself – the reward poster, the bomb fragments, the manifesto, David Kaczynski's letters, the typewriter and what agents found inside.
Where his lawyers said the chain broke, we show their argument next to the FBI's. Rooms, objects and routes without a photo are labeled as schematics or illustrations. Museum reconstructions are labeled as replicas.
