I CAN'T Color in Secrets by R.J. Hampson Coloring Book Anymore | Adult Coloring

Over the years of almost daily coloring, I’ve developed a hand issues. Not the hand cramps while coloring. The pain I feel in my coloring hand doesn't go away and moving my thumb is especially painful when I bend it or when I put a pressure on it. Interestingly it doesn't hurt during coloring, but I already noticed a slight numbness. When I bought this particular edition of Secrets coloring book by R. J. Hampson, I didn't notice there's a different paper than in usual coloring books from Amazon. Later when I found out, there're actually 2 editions of R.J.'s coloring books, I was quite excited to try the "new" paper, because it's a bit thicker. And since I really appreciate the thickness of the paper, the smoothness of this paper gave me really hard times. It wasn't easy to get as dark shadows as I wanted, the blending didn't work as I'm used to and I felt like I need to push so hard on the pencils to get the result I wanted. After finishing my first page in the coloring book, the pain became noticeably worse. This is only my personal experience. Someone who uses different art media and has different coloring style may love this paper more than the regular one. It all depends on so many factors and only because the paper doesn't suit me personally, it doesn't mean it is bad. I love this coloring book! It immediately became one of ma top favorite and I don't wanna stop color in it. That's why I printed the next illustration on my own paper and I'll do it with other illustrations as well. Because we shouldn't judge the coloring book for the paper. That is the least reason that matter. The illustrations are beautiful and I admire ‪@rjhampson‬ for creating such a wonderful coloring book. 🎨 Want to LEARN more about adult coloring or COLOR ALONG WITH ME?
