Botany: Botany is the scientific study of physiology, structure, genetics, ecology, distribution, classification and economic importance of plants. Biology is the study of living organisms. It has three branches: Botany. Zoology. Microbiology. Botany is derived from the term Bouskein which means cattle feed. Theophrastus is the Father of Botany. Cryptogams: Cryptogams are non-seed producing and non-flower producing plant. Cryptogams are further divided into three subdivision: 1. Thallophytes. 2. Bryophytes. 3. Pteridophytes Phanerogams: Phanerogams are seed producing a nd flower producing plant.
