They Ordered a Human Rescue Ship Destroyed - Earth Asked for Every Passenger's Name | HFY

The order arrived before the captain's docking request. A human rescue ship was carrying 1,294 people from twelve species, and the Empire had left the passenger count off its destruction authorization. Captain Mara Holt needed air, power, and a safe berth. The port offered to save the forty-one humans aboard. She refused to leave the others behind. One alien traffic controller sent the full passenger list to Earth's rescue network. What followed would cost ships, careers, and the Empire's control of the truth.
