I went shooting at TDSA Shooting Range in Ferris, Texas, with my cousin Jacob to compare our 9mm PCCs, suppressors, and handguns. Jacob brought his roller-delayed Springfield Armory Kuna 9mm PCC equipped with a Dead Air Mojave 9 suppressor and Holosun EPS optic. His sidearm was a Shadow Systems MR920P with a Holosun red dot. I brought my Panzer Arms ARP9 equipped with a SIG ROMEO3 red dot and a YHM R9 suppressor. My sidearm was a Canik MC9 Prime equipped with a CVLIFE Wildcat green-dot optic. The main thing we wanted to understand was whether our preferred home-defense setups would be quiet enough to fire inside a house without completely destroying our hearing. We compared my lower-cost budget setup against Jacob’s higher-end setup to find out how much of a sound difference you actually get for the extra money. We also tested our handguns to see just how loud they are. Gunfire at these sound levels can cause immediate and permanent hearing damage, especially indoors where the sound reflects off the walls. The second half of the video is mostly us shooting, training, and having a good time at the range. I probably should have broken this up into two shorter videos, but if you wanted to watch the entire range day, thank you for sticking around and hanging out with us after the dB testing! This was an outdoor, informal sound-meter comparison—not a scientific test or a claim that either setup is hearing-safe. Always use proper hearing protection when shooting. Which setup would you choose: the budget Panzer Arms ARP9 or the roller-delayed Springfield Kuna? Let me know in the comments. #TylerTested #PanzerARP9 #SpringfieldKuna #YHMR9 #DeadAirMojave9 #Suppressed9mm #PCC #SoundTest #CanikMC9Prime #ShadowSystems
