Iron chains drag across the desert as a group of prisoners is marched beneath the watch of armed deputies. Then the mountains disappear behind a massive wall of sand. A violent desert storm swallows the trail, blinding guards and prisoners alike. Using the chaos as cover, the outlaws break their shackles and scatter into the roaring wind while the guards fire blindly into the storm. When the dust finally settles, the prisoners are gone. They hide in a canyon, bury their chains beneath the yellow stone, and disappear across the badlands on stolen horses. The storm erased their tracks, their names, and perhaps even their past. 🎸 Dark Country • Outlaw Country • Western Escape • Dark Americana Ride with Deadbone Raw for outlaw escapes, western legends, frontier stories, and dark country ballads from the lawless badlands. Could you survive the desert storm long enough to earn your freedom? #DarkCountry #OutlawCountry #DeadboneRaw #WesternBallad #DarkAmericana The iron chains were heavy as we marched across the sand, Escorted by the deputies throughout the barren land. A sudden darkness gathered on the distant mountain height, Swallowing the desert in a blinding wall of white. The howling wind came rushing with a violent, sandy blow, Striking every guard and every prisoner down below. The dust was thick as velvet and it choked the freezing air, Creating perfect cover in a desperate despair. I slammed my elbow backward into iron locking ring, Freeing up my wrists from off the hateful prison string. My fellow inmates scattered in the roaring, blinding gale, Disappearing quickly from the tracking of the jail. The guards were shouting blindly while they fired in the dark, Missing every target without leaving any mark. Oh, the desert storm is hiding every fleeing track, Carrying the outlaws on a road of no turn back. With shackles in the sand and a freedom in the gale, We broke the iron prison and we left behind the jail. Oh, the desert storm is hiding every fleeing track, Carrying the outlaws on a road of no turn back. With shackles in the sand and a freedom in the gale, We broke the iron prison and we left behind the jail. We ran until the wind began to settle and subside, Finding safety in a canyon where the outlaws hide. We buried all our irons deep beneath the yellow stone, Standing in the freedom of the badlands all alone. The sheriff and his posse went a-searching through the plain, Finding only footsteps washed away by falling rain. We stole a pair of horses from a rancher down the pass, Riding through the shadows on the dry and golden grass. The storm had cleansed our history and wiped away our name, Giving us a second chance to play the outlaw game. The stars are shining brightly in the vast and open sky, Where a band of clever runners live and never die. Another legendary escape recorded in the west, Proving that a desperate soul will always pass the test.
