Spiti Valley's Hidden History 🏔️ | Gue Mummy, Tabo & Dhankar | Spiti Ride Series – Episode 05

The road to Spiti continues! 🏔️ On Day 5 of our Spiti bike trip, we leave Nako and ride through the rugged landscapes of the Himalayas, crossing Lepcha La Pass and exploring some of the most fascinating historical and spiritual places in Spiti Valley. Our journey takes us to Gue Monastery, home to the famous mummified monk, before continuing to Tabo Monastery, an ancient Buddhist complex founded in 996 AD and often called the Ajanta of the Himalayas for its remarkable murals and artwork. We then explore Dhankar Monastery, dramatically positioned above the Spiti Valley, with incredible views of the surrounding mountains. Finally, we continue towards Kaza, our base for exploring more of this incredible cold desert region. This day is not just about riding through mountain roads.
