Sanwei Gear Hyper Review – Unexpected Spin Test Results

In this review, I test the Gear Hyper using measurable data rather than relying only on subjective impressions. I measure its sponge hardness, weight, serve spin and topspin performance, and compare the results with the Sanwei New Target National and my regular DHS Hurricane 3 National. The review also covers: • Serve and serve receive • Short game and long pushes • Topspin against backspin • Counterlooping • Blocking and flat hitting • Flicking • Performance away from the table • Forehand and backhand suitability • Real tournament footage For the spin measurements, I used SpinSight and performed 30 repetitions for each test to obtain a representative average.
