DEDERANG HARD ENDURO | RACE DAY

Aaaaand we're back! Hosted by Diamond Valley Motocross Club up in the lush green hills of the Victorian High Country, round three of the DVMCC Hard Enduro series was held in November of 2021. Due to the various limitations in our home state this was just the second race that I was able to attend in 2021. DVMCC run what I would call a "no frills" style event where you just turn up on race day and get stuck into it (event registration is required). No prologues, no qualifying, no fluff - just racing! This event was no different and the course had a great mix of challenges in store for us including big dusty hills, muddy creeks, loose downhill sections and a nice big rocky stream! Something for everyone! One of my riding buddies did his first H.E. race for this event and he had a cracker of a time - he ran rings around me! I'm still running TUbliss front and rear on the Gas Gas. The Shinko 525 provides loads of grip in all situations, however I've swapped my front Shinko Fat tyre for a Mitas 80/100 just for something different. The Mitas stuck fast in all of the mud and rocks, so I'm really happy with that. It didn't seem to bounce around as much in the ruts either, likely because of the smaller width. Does this video look like something you want to try? Get out there and have a go! Events like this are pretty laid back and not all about "serious racing". Most people use these races as an opportunity to catch up with mates and to ride awesome private property that is otherwise off limits. Don't want to race?? Easy! Event organisers are ALWAYS looking for casual riders to do track sweeps, deliver lunches and other official duties.   / diamond.motorcycleclub
