In this very special episode, we are joined by an 83-year-old Sikh Elder whose life is a living testament to the history of Punjab. Born in Narowal (now Pakistan), he was just 4–5 years old when the brutal Partition of 1947 uprooted his family, forcing them to migrate to Gurdaspur in Indian Punjab. He later dedicated his life to education, retiring as a respected School Principal in Ludhiana. Today, he resides in Australia, where he actively uses social media to advocate for Socialism and Human Rights.
We dive deep into his deeply emotional journey—from his tearful return to his ancestral village in Narowal four years ago, to his recent visit to Pakistan as the Keynote Speaker at the 3rd International Punjabi Conference in Lahore.
Key Topics Covered in This Podcast:
📍 The Pain of 1947: Childhood memories of the Partition and displacement.
🌾 Return to Narowal: The raw emotions of stepping back onto his birthplace after decades.
🕊️ Peace Between the Two Punjabs: A critical look at India-Pakistan politics and the path toward cross-border harmony.
