Pierre & Natasha (War and Peace) ‖ I can't pretend

**Don’t forget to switch the video to 1080 HD! (For some reason YouTube refuses to load it in HD by default 😅) I first read War and Peace in high school, and despite being terrified by its size, it completely won me over. Once I got past the first chapters, I fell headfirst into Tolstoy’s world and never looked back. Pierre quickly became one of my favorite characters in all of classic literature—his kindness, his vulnerability, his flaws, everything about him feels real. Natasha’s journey is just as powerful, and following her growth through the story made me love her just as much. Over the years, I’ve watched several adaptations, but the 2016 BBC version remains my favorite. Paul Dano’s Pierre and Lily James’s Natasha are absolutely perfect, and the series captures the heart of the novel beautifully, even in only 8 episodes. Both the book and the show moved me deeply, so creating this edit about Pierre and Natasha felt completely natural. ❤️ I know it’s impossible to cover their whole story in only three minutes, but I tried to include as much as I could so the spirit of their journey still comes through. 🫶 Huge thanks to the teacher who made me read this masterpiece in the first place. #warandpeace #perioddrama #pauldano #edit #editvideo __________________________________________________________ "Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
