Together they carefully prepare the balcony, install reinforcing mesh, mix concrete by hand, and pour a strong balcony screed using traditional construction methods and teamwork. 🏡🔨 While the men work, the children happily play around the yard, filling the homestead with laughter. Marina lovingly prepares a delicious traditional Carpathian outdoor meal over an open fire—golden potatoes cooked with homemade bacon, smoked sausage, onions, and a fresh summer vegetable salad made from ingredients grown in their own garden. 🥔🥓🥗 After finishing the hard work, everyone gathers in the family gazebo to enjoy a peaceful homemade lunch surrounded by the breathtaking Carpathian Mountains. The next morning begins early. Vasyl takes his brush cutter and carefully mows the grass around the family's property, including a precious century-old ancestral wooden house that has been standing for more than 100 years. Every careful step reflects the family's deep respect for their heritage. 🌿 Marina dries freshly cut hay, tends her bean plants, works in the vegetable garden, and later prepares soft homemade pancakes served with fresh sour cream and sweet homemade apple jam—a favorite treat for the children. 🥞🍎 Meanwhile, Vasyl continues improving the homestead by laying paving stones around the new house. In the afternoon, the whole family joins together for one of the oldest Carpathian traditions—making traditional haystacks. Everyone helps gather the hay while Vasyl installs large wooden poles to build classic hayricks that allow the hay to dry naturally, just as generations before them have done for centuries.
