Geelong v St.Kilda 1st Qualifying Final 2008

This was the third time these two sides had met in a VFL/AFL final up to this point, on the previous two occasions the Cats have won with Geelong defeating St.Kilda by 44 points in the 1968 first semi-final and accounting for the Saints in the 1991 second elimination final by seven points. This match loomed as a beauty, considering Geelong and St.Kilda were the two most in-form teams entering the finals.
