Step Inside a 1795 Home in the Heart of Downtown Leesburg
I got the chance to walk through one of the most unique properties in Leesburg's Old & Historic District, a home built in 1795 that's been completely reimagined inside while keeping its historic bones intact.
What stood out to me most: a hidden brick courtyard tucked behind the house, complete with a working water feature and (apparently) a resident frog who's made it his home too. It's the kind of outdoor space you don't expect to find two blocks from King Street.
Inside, the scale surprised me, this isn't a cramped historic cottage. Big rooms, multiple fireplaces, a primary suite with real closet space, and laundry on the bedroom level. Out back, an oversized two-story garage gives you something almost impossible to find downtown: real off-street parking.
If you love Leesburg's historic district, walkable living, or just want to see what 230 years of character looks like done right, this one's worth the watch.
