Multiple MLS Connections on One WordPress Site with MLSImport

MLSImport connects up to 7 MLS feeds to one WordPress site. This walkthrough shows how to add two connections, manage priorities, map fields separately, and create import tasks for each MLS. The Connections tab shows how many MLS connections your plan allows. Your site first connects to your MLSImport account, then each MLS connection is added separately. THE THREE STEPS THAT ADD AN MLS Step one: type the MLS name and select it from the list. Step two: enter the credentials. The fields depend on the provider. For example, Bridge uses a server token, while Trestle uses a client ID and client secret. Step three: Test and save connection checks the credentials against the MLS. If the test passes, the connection is saved. If it fails, the error stays on screen and nothing incomplete is stored. WHAT EACH CONNECTION ROW SHOWS Each row shows the priority, MLS name, provider, connection status, last test time, and number of listings imported from that feed. It is the fastest place to confirm whether a feed is connected. PRIORITY AND DUPLICATE LISTINGS The same property can appear in more than one MLS. The order of the Connections list decides which copy visitors see. The higher-priority connection wins. Drag a row to change the priority. THE THREE ROW ACTIONS Test checks the credentials again. Edit lets you replace credentials, for example after an MLS changes a token. Remove deletes the connection and its field mapping. Listings already imported from that connection remain on the site. ONE FIELD MAPPING AND TASK SET PER MLS Each MLS keeps its own field mapping because different feeds may use different fields or values. Once a second connection exists, the Listing Details tab shows an "Editing fields for" selector. Choose an MLS and the mapping below applies only to that connection. Import tasks work the same way. Each task belongs to one MLS connection and uses that MLS's own filter values. WHEN A CONNECTION TEST FAILS Check the credentials in the MLS email or portal, paste them again without extra spaces, confirm they match the provider requested by the form, and make sure the MLS has approved the feed for your website. For an existing connection, Test repeats the check and Edit is where you enter replacement credentials. HOW DUPLICATE LISTINGS ARE MATCHED The same property can have a different MLS number in each MLS, so MLSImport identifies duplicates by property address rather than Listing ID. When the same home is imported from two MLS feeds, both records remain stored in WordPress, but only the copy from the higher-priority connection is shown. The lower-priority copy is hidden, not deleted. If the visible listing is later removed from its feed, the other copy can become visible automatically. Field mapping: the link between MLS fields and the fields displayed on your site. Import task: saved import rules tied to one MLS connection.
