Beautiful Vidmid Ruffled Baby Frock Cutting and Stitching | DIY Very Easy Baby Frock For Beginners Welcome back to [ Savita DIY ]! In today’s video, I’m showing you how to make a beautiful Vidmid ruffled baby frock. It’s perfect for beginners. Let’s get started! Step-by-Step Guide: 1. Materials Needed: • Fabric (cotton recommended) • Scissors, Measuring tape, Pins • Sewing machine, Matching thread • Elastic (for the back) • Fabric chalk 2. Cutting the Fabric: • Bodice: Measure chest + 1” seam allowance. • Skirt: Length from waist to knee x 2 chest width. • Ruffles: 2-3” wide strips, 1.5x skirt width. • Straps: Two 1.5” x 10” strips. 3. Preparing the Bodice: • Fold bodice, mark center. • Cut armholes and neckline. • Hem edges. 4. Adding Ruffles: • Sew basting stitch on ruffle strips. • Gather fabric to create ruffles. • Pin and sew ruffles to skirt. 5. Assembling the Skirt: • Sew skirt sides to form a tube. • Hem bottom edge. 6. Attaching Bodice and Skirt: • Pin bodice to skirt, right sides together. • Sew together, distributing ruffles evenly. 7. Creating Shirred Back: • Cut elastic (chest measurement minus 2”). • Sew elastic to bodice back, stretching as you sew. 8. Adding Straps: • Attach straps to front and back of bodice. • Adjust length and secure. 9. Final Touches: • Secure all seams. • Iron frock. And there you have it!
