A Day In Our Life | New Kitchen Island & Jamaican Jerk BBQ✨

Today was one of those simple family days that remind us how much we’ve missed being together. ❤️ We started the day with a trip to Superstore where we scored some amazing deals on chicken and bacon. After we got home, Babe seasoned the chicken with his special Jamaican Jerk spices and let it marinate for a few hours while we tackled another project around the house. One thing I definitely don’t enjoy is putting furniture together, so I was beyond happy to have Akeen back to assemble our brand-new kitchen island and three stools. He did an amazing job, and I absolutely love how it turned out! It has already made our kitchen feel so much more like home. Once everything was almost finished, it was finally time to fire up the grill. The chicken came out incredibly juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! We ended the day sitting around our new island, enjoying an amazing meal together as a family, laughing, talking, and thanking God for bringing us back together.
