The Kingdom Of God, What Is It? Into: We are in The Kingdom of God, but what does that mean? What actually is the Kingdom of God? Where are the boundaries of the Kingdom? How do I know that I’m in the Kingdom of God? What can I do now that I’m in The Kingdom of God? Aim: Is to answer these questions and help us establish The Kingdom of God in our hearts and in our lives. Part 1 Genesis 1:28 28. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Earth = Flesh Sea = Feelings Air = Thoughts John 3:5-7 5. Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ Matthew 12:25-30 25. But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. Matthew 12:26-27 26. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27. And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. Matthew 12:28-30 28. But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29. Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30. He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad. Luke 17:20-21 20. Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21. nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” Romans 14:17-19 17. for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. 19. Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. 1 Corinthians 4:20 20. For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. 1 Thessalonians 1:5 5. For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake. Colossians 1:13-14 13. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14. in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Conclusion Matthew 16:13-20 13. When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14. So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15. He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16. Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17. Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” 20. Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.
