BAMBERG. Full detailed review inside and around the St Peters and St Georgs Cathedral. (Germany)

Welcome back. The Saint Peter´s and Saint Georg´s Cathedral of Bamberg is with its design of four majestic towers the most famous building of Bamberg both the third oldest Cathedal of Germany. In this video I was given a full detailed review of this romosqure building which its history begun in the early middle age. The walk around the Cathedral: On a sunny day at the mid of October 2026 I visited the Cathedral of Bamberg. At first I spent some minutes at the large place in front of the building and explained some details of the four towers, the main ship with its smaller classic windows in romosqure desing and a look behind the Cathedral in the patio and administration of the archbisoph. The stay inside: Inside I filmed and explained all the corners and places which are famous for the Cathedral. My first stop was the sarkophage of the holy spoken imperial couple King Henry II and his wife Kunigunde connected by a view to the hugeg fresco at the top of the east side choir. My next stop was a walk between the heavy collums to a fresco and a figure of bishop Squidge and pope Clemens II which was buried at the Cathedral. A few miunutes later where I filmed at the west side and main choir and altar I saw the tomb of the pope. At next I expailed the crafts work art of Veit Stoß from Nuremberg and went to the highlight of the tour to the famous rider of Bamberg. In the puplic crypt I´ve visited the rest area of the bishophs of the town and a skulptur of the holy spoken bishoph Otto I from Bamberg both a relique of the holier. Before I finised the tour I stopped with a view at the oldest and still active fountain which was built before the entire Cathedral was built. Here the most importained steps of the Cathedral´s history:  laying the foundation stone by King Henry II  1046 the second bishop Squidge became Pope Clemens II  1081 and 1085 the two big burnings in the Cathedral and restauration on the coming years  1139 bishop Otto I became bishop and was spoken holy in 1189 by pope Clemens III  1415 mention of the first organ  1818 Bamberg became a diocese together with Wurzburg, Eichstätt and Speyer  1923 pope Pius XI was given a apostolic documentary  2007 celebrating the 1000 diocese anniversary  2012 celebrating the 1000 anniversary of the Cathedral And here a list of the famous arts works and figures in the Cathedral:  The Imperial grave designed by Tilman Riemenschneiner between 1499-1513. Inside there are with boons of the imperial holy spoken couple King Henry II and his wife Kunigunde  The tomb of Bishop Squidge and Pope Clemens II loceated behind the Cathedra and designed out of marble from Carrara at Italy  The rider of Bamberg. His position left to the east side choir. Figures which the rider could present: Constantin empire, Monarchs from the Staufer or the holy spoken King Stephan I (founder of Hungary in 1000)  The altar and crafts work art by Veit Stoß loceated at the left side part to the main altar  The western crypt with the rest place of past bishops of Bamberg and a sculpture of the holy spoken bishop Otto I designed by Josph Oswald both a relique of the holier  Easter and bigger crypt with the tomb of king Conrad III and a fountain from the Babenberg fortress.
