Daily Life | Exploring a Market and Cooking a Rằm Tháng 7 Traditional Feast | Real Life Today, I’m taking you with me to a local market in rural Vietnam. It’s a special market day because it falls on the seventh lunar month, an important traditional time in my hometown. From early in the morning, the market is much busier than usual. People from nearby villages come together to buy fresh food, vegetables, meat, and other ingredients for the holiday. I also went to the market to buy food for my family. After shopping, I headed back home to prepare everything and cook a traditional meal for the seventh lunar month. For me, the most meaningful part of the holiday is not having an expensive or fancy feast. It’s the simple moments when everyone comes together, prepares food, cooks, and shares a meal with family.
