Work Over Charity: A Lesson in Strength | Nijo Jonson

A wealthy woman overhears that a poor tailor needs money for his daughter’s operation. Instead of giving charity, she places a large order of shirts and pays in advance. She even offers extra for faster delivery. When questioned why she didn’t just give cash, she explains that earning through hard work builds strength, while handouts can weaken a person. Her act not only helps in the moment but restores dignity, pride, and confidence, showing that true support empowers rather than just gives.
