Should You ACTUALLY Trust Synths? | Fallout 4 Lore Turns Out, Synths Are a SCAM (And You Fell For It) The Truth About Synths: Who Can You ACTUALLY Trust? | Fallout 4 What to ACTUALLY Do With Synths | Fallout 4 Lore Are Synths ACTUALLY People? The Final Verdict Why You Should NEVER Trust a Synth in Fallout 4 The Synth Debate is Finally Over (Here’s The Truth) The question fallout 4 is begging for you to answer is how human does a creation have to be before you consider it human, and well, at least for the universe of fallout 4, I finally have the answer. Over the last two weeks, I have argued every conceivable point to lead you to the conclusion that synths are trustworthy and also that synths are not trustworthy. There is ample evidence for whatever conclusion you want to come to, and yet obviously, if you were in the world of fallout 4 and found yourself faced with this question in a literal sense rather than a theoretical one, you dont need hours of pondering. You need an answer, the answer that I have. For the sake of simplicity, we aren’t going to discuss specific exceptions and occurrences, because this video would just be a list rather than an answer. Instead, we are only going to discuss a synth as a concept from the perspective of someone living in the commonwealth in the world of fallout unless otherwise specified. Before we continue, let me just say; I’m not going to go over every single fact. Thats what the last two videos were for. However, as always, there are a few really important things to mention before we go over the end answer. First and foremost, on the one hand, Synths are essentially cloned humans. They have human DNA, human tissue, a human mind, human dreams and though we cannot know for sure, they seem to be having a human experience at least similar enough to all of us that it should be considered indistinguishable. On the other hand, there are some things that are impossible to ignore. Namely, that Synths can be rewritten. Seemingly with basic medical and computer equipment, their entire mind, their history, and their disposition can be rewritten. Additionally, they are more dangerous than humans from a sheer ability standpoint. They outlive humans, they appear to be immune to the effects of radiation, obesity, starvation and probably a wide array of other health defects. According to their creators, they do not need to sleep or eat, though their programming still tells them they are hungry, meaning many of them never realize this. However, when considering the dangers they pose to mortals, we can take some solace that they also cannot breed. So, even if they were dangerous, and you could prove they are not trustworthy, they can only ever be a set level of threat due to their lack of numbers. They aren’t spreading, so long as the Institute is destroyed. In the first video I made on this subject, a lot of you pointed out that humans are in fact programmable. This is technically true, even if it muddies the water on what is meant by the word programmable. Much has been studied about the gestation period of homo sapiens because of how programmable we are. A horse, for example, spends much more time in utero, especially when you consider they live much shorter lives. As a result, the horse comes out and is ready to be a horse much sooner than a human is ready to be a human. It is for this reason that you can raise a human and largely shape their beliefs. The difference between a Indian man raised to be a buddhist and an Inuit Man raised to believe in his ancestors is vast, much more vast than a horse born and raised on the North American continent and a horse born and raised on the Indian subcontinent. This is because horses are born mostly finished, while humans are born with a long way to go before adulthood.
