Deliver Me

*DELIVER ME — J.R. Chambers* What if the very thing we need deliverance from... is ourselves? We spend so much of our lives trying to prove we're enough. Chasing accomplishments, measuring our worth by our successes, hiding our failures, and looking to the people around us to tell us who we are. But what happens when we lay it all down at the feet of Jesus? *“Deliver Me”* is a prayer of complete surrender. The good. The bad. The ugly. Our pride, our fears, our accomplishments, our failures, our expectations, and even the things we love most. Not because those things don't matter, but because none of them were ever meant to define us. Our identity isn't found in what we accomplish, how others see us, or the mistakes we've made. *Our identity is found in Jesus Christ.* This song is my prayer: Lord, deliver me from myself. From my need to control, to perform, to be admired, and to find my worth in anything other than You. Teach me to seek You above everything else. Make me more like Jesus, a little more every day. “He must increase, but I must decrease.” — John 3:30 If this song speaks to your heart, leave a comment and share it with someone who needs to be reminded that they don't have to earn their worth in Christ.
