Reinlandar etter Ringnesen, Norwegian Schottische

Skandia Leikarringen performs a schottische, loosly based on Gamel Reinlandar, performed to Ruth Anne Fraley's Reinlandar etter Ringnesen. Happy UnFestival! We're celebrating Norwegian Day on August 15th, 2020 , but virtually this year. Thank you for joining us for this mini performance! Please note: These videos are pre-recorded. We are NOT having a celebration in downtown Junction City as we usually do. We are not recommending community members gather for this online event, these videos are just a way for us to connect with our community, virtually. Please do not visit the Scandinavian Festival grounds, as there will not be any celebration happening. For detailed information on current mandates on gatherings, please check out the latest news from the Oregon Health Authority. The Junction City Scandinavian Festival is a beloved annual festival that takes place the second Thursday-Sunday of August each year, thought we will not be gathering together in 2020. You'd usually see traditional handicrafts like hardanger embroidery, folk dance performances, and so many tasty traditional Scandinavian foods, as well as some modern and other ethnic options. It's estimated between 80,000-100,000 people visit our Festival in those 4 days each year! We love this community and are so excited to be sharing our Festival with you, on YouTube!
