PROKOFIEFF: Sonate No. 8 in B-flat major, op. 83 encores: MOSZKOWSKI: "Etincelles" CHOPIN: Waltz in E-flat major, op. 18 MENDELSSOHN: "Spinning Song" in C major, op. 67/4 SCHUMANN: Romance in F# major, op. 28/2 Sergio Fiorentino, piano ("Thürmer" piano) The Prokofieff Sonata was a completely new piece, it had been studied a short while before to be recorded in Berlin. The recital in Arnsberg, initially planned to take place before the recording session, had to be postponed. So the recording of the work published by APR was done before the planned 'test performance' before an audience.
