Empyrean - Abyssal Choirs - Journey

Empyrean - Abyssal Choirs - Journey (1 h 50 min) The Empyrean synthesizer, with its architecture of countless partials, here gives voice to something immense and submerged. What begins as a low, trench-deep dirge gradually gathers itself into a full assembly. The voices are not human, but are formed from pure signal, a deep-throated psalmody sung under immense pressure. There is a sense of both light and depth, a strange luminescence persisting throughout the benthic gloom. The drone evolves, not as a narrative, but as a slow change in the density and character of this lightless choir, a gathering of cantors in the quiet deep. This is a slow descent into a space filled with a cold and resonant presence, a chorale for the abyss.
