Solo Female Living Off-Grid Ep 6: Clearing Site, Ground Leveling & Drainage Trenching

Welcome back to Episode 6 of my off-grid cabin-building series! 🍃✨ With the roof and front porch fully finished, it was time to step inside and focus on ground preparation. Before pouring the concrete floor in the upcoming episode, I had to thoroughly clean up the building site, remove all leftover timber scraps, and level the uneven dirt ground inside the cabin. Using simple hand tools, I spent hours digging, leveling the earth, and constructing a deep drainage trench around the perimeter to protect the timber foundation from rainwater runoff. Preparing the site completely by hand was tough labor, but seeing a clean, level base ready for the next phase is so rewarding!
