We Moved Spots… Then I Caught the Biggest Bass of My Life

This trip started with about 45 minutes of absolutely nothing… so Dad and I decided to move to the other side of the lake. That turned out to be the right decision. I caught two bass pretty quickly, Dad added a bass and a bluegill, and later in the day he even caught a walleye. Unfortunately, the SD card failed near the end of the trip — which happened to be right before the craziest stretch of the day. Not long after Dad’s walleye, I hooked into the biggest largemouth I’ve ever caught. 4.2 pounds — my new personal best. 🎣 Even better, I caught it on the Burn Notice Shiner, one of the baits I painted myself. The fish had my rod bent all the way into the side of the boat and buried the hook badly enough that we had to break one of the hooks off. We lost the fight footage, but thankfully Dad got the pictures. Six fish between us, three species for Dad, a new PB for me, and another great day on the water together. 🔥 Check out Backlot Baits: https://backlotbaits.myshopify.com Thanks for watching and coming fishing with us. #BacklotBaits #BassFishing #IowaFishing #Fishing
