Blizzard Hunter - The Pact (2026) | Full Album

The Pact (2026) is the new studio album from the Peruvian heavy/speed metal band Blizzard Hunter, hailing from Lima. The digital release is set for August 21, 2026, with CD and vinyl editions coming via Alone Records (Greece). The band describes the record with the motto: "Four blades raised as one: a blood pact sealed for Heavy Metal." It was composed and recorded in record time—spanning about four to five months from initial composition to sending the tracks for mixing and mastering. The result is a more direct and aggressive work that maintains the band's classic sound: heavy guitars, powerful vocals, and a solid drum and bass foundation. Blizzard Hunter (originally named Blizzard) formed in 2006 and regrouped in 2014 with a focus on original material. Their style is classic heavy/speed metal, influenced by the New Wave of British Heavy Metal and traditional metal, featuring epic themes of battle, war, victory, magic, evil, and darkness. Previous albums include Heavy Metal to the Vein (2015), The Path of Triumph (2022), and the EP Legacy of Survival (2025). The band has toured South America and Europe, and the new record will be showcased live during a European tour in August/September 2026 (covering Portugal, Spain, France, Luxembourg, and Germany). The album reinforces the band's identity through hard-hitting riffs, speed, epic melodies, and an attitude rooted in traditional heavy metal. The cover art was illustrated by @harodelapinedo, with editing, adaptation, and layout by @rodro.go_art. In short, The Pact marks a new, more aggressive, and direct phase for Blizzard Hunter, sealing a "blood pact" with classic Peruvian and international heavy metal. As the official release is recent (August 21, 2026), full reviews and official streams are still gaining momentum, but the material already available points to an energetic album that stays true to the band's roots.
