A weekend on Lake George The Queen of the American lakes

I recently went on a canoe trip with my buddy Tim and his dog Niko. Lake George was our destination. A place I have not really considered visiting. Lets just say I have been missing out. Lake George is a beautiful lake with deep historic roots. Recommended to me by Tim, we spent a weekend canoe camping on this lake. Once again, another fantastic trip in the Adirondacks. I was so fascinated with the history of this place, when I got home I unpacked my gear and immediately sat down to watch The last of the Mohicans. In the week and a half since this trip I have spent countless hours at night reading about the history of the area. It is just such a fascinating place.
