🏜️ OUR NEW MEXICO ADVENTURE
📍 ALBUQUERQUE & BREAKING BAD
Our journey begins in Albuquerque, famous for its connection to the television series Breaking Bad.
We explore the city's Southwestern atmosphere and visit the neighborhood of Walter White's famous house.
Remember to respect private property when visiting filming locations!
🏛️ SANTA FE: AMERICA'S OLDEST STATE CAPITAL
Santa Fe is famous for its beautiful adobe architecture, historic streets, art galleries, and fascinating cultural heritage.
Its history as a capital dates back to 1610, making it the oldest state capital in the United States.
During our visit, we discover traditional adobe-style buildings, wooden beams called vigas, Native American art, colorful galleries, and beautiful Santa Fe Plaza.
🎄 CHRISTMAS IN SANTA FE
We visited near Christmas, when Santa Fe was decorated with festive lights and traditional farolitos.
The historic plaza, beautiful architecture, and holiday atmosphere made this part of our trip unforgettable.
🎨 SANTA FE INDIAN MARKET
Interested in Native American art and culture?
Every August, Santa Fe hosts the famous Santa Fe Indian Market, featuring artists from Native communities across North America.
We didn't attend the event, but it's worth considering when planning your visit.
🥜 PISTACHIOLAND & THE WORLD'S LARGEST PISTACHIO
Near Alamogordo, we discovered McGinn's PistachioLand!
Home of the World's Largest Pistachio, this unusual roadside attraction offers roasted pistachios, unique flavors, pistachio ice cream, candy, and plenty of surprises.
One of the funniest stops on our New Mexico road trip!
🏜️ WHITE SANDS NATIONAL PARK
Imagine endless white dunes that look like snow in the middle of the desert!
White Sands National Park is famous for its incredible gypsum sand dunes and unusual landscapes.
We explore the park, discover why the sand is so white, and learn about one of its most entertaining activities: sledding down the dunes!
