Mattel Mickey Mouse Club Newsreel Projector

This battery-powered still-image projector allowed children to show special cardboard-mounted Disney filmstrips on a small screen, accompanied by narration, music and sound effects played from a double-sided plastic of 78rpm record. Each side provided the relevant ‘soundtrack’ for one 10-scene filmstrip. Playing time was approximately two minutes per side.
