This Is NOT Your Typical Card Game Battle System | Mythic Spellbook 0.5

Mythic Spellbook is not your typical card game—and Update 0.5 makes that clearer than ever. We’ve made huge updates to the battle system, transforming every match into a tactical battlefield where your cards are living units. Positioning, movement, elevation, energy, weather, terrain, and timing can completely change the outcome of a fight. In this video, we break down the basics of the new battle system, including: • Summoning units directly onto the battlefield • Moving across our tactical grid • Using energy to activate moves and attacks • Taking advantage of elevation bonuses • Using weather effects and card combinations • Searching buildings and locations for valuable resources • Looting the tombstones of defeated units • Capturing SCP control points • Protecting your Hero and managing their 250 HP • Escaping with your loot before another player defeats you You can win by reducing the enemy Hero’s HP to zero, forcing them to run out of cards, or completing special battlefield objectives. In SCP Control Points, for example, players must capture and hold two of three locations—Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie—for three consecutive turns. But winning the battle is only part of the experience. The resources and items you recover can be used throughout the larger Mythic Spellbook universe to craft equipment, support your camp, train your units, protect cities, and participate in our player-driven economy. Be careful: if you lose before securing your loot, everything you collected during that battle can be lost. Mythic Spellbook may use cards, but we are building something much larger than a traditional TCG. This is a tactical, player-driven TCGMMO where your cards have personalities, traits, relationships, careers, value, and a place inside a living universe. Welcome to the new battle system.
