This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport subcompact SUV.
Capable, Comfortable and Cool looking, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport!
We are driving the base Big Bend model with the new Bronze package which you can add to either Big Bend and the top Badlands trim, the package includes 17-inch bronze-finished wheels, bronze badging, an ebony black grille with bronze lettering, bronze interior accents, stitching and floor mats.
There are two 2026 Ford Bronco Sport powertrain options, we have the base 1.5L Ecoboost engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 180 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque, standard 4-wheel drive.
The more powerful 2026 Ford Bronco Sport option is the 2L turbocharged 4-cylinder with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, standard advanced 4-wheel drive.
This powertrain is standard on the Badlands model.
The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport comes with some good features including, an 8” driver display, 13.2” touchscreen with Sync4, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 6-speaker audio system, cloth bucket seats, heated front seats, 8-way power driver’s seat, 4-way manual passenger seat and a manual liftgate.
There are so many different trims to choose from, you can keep the price down or you can spend a little more and add packages and a la carte items.
In Canada, 2026 Ford Bronco Sport MSRP starts at $39,395 for Big Bend, Heritage $42,795, Outer Banks $43,495 and Badlands $47,795. However, Ford Canada has some great deals online for this model bringing your costs down substantially, so check that out.
In the US 2026 Ford Bronco Sport MSRP starts at $31,845 for Big Bend, Heritage $33,395, Outer Banks $35,145 and Badlands $37,265.
2026 Ford Bronco Sport fuel economy, the 1.5 Ecoboost gets 9.3L/100 km, 25 MPG city and 7.9L/100 km, 30 MPG highway. The 2L Ecoboost 11.2L/100 km, 21 MPG city and 8.7L/100 km, 27 MPG highway.
Depending on the trim towing capacity ranges from 2,000 - 2700 pounds.
