Famous singing lift! Scenic 2006 ThyssenKrupp lift (upgraded) at the Southbank Centre, London, UK

Video recorded 10/1/2026 Here is the famous singing lift at the Southbank Centre / Royal Festival Hall in London. This famous lift was first built in 2006 but the singing voices weren't installed in it until 2010. Before that, this lift had a traditional voice that announces the doors opening & closing, lift direction and destination floor. Even though this lift got upgraded in 2020 with another voice added, new floor indicators and chimes, it still sings as of August 2026! The buttons were replaced later in 2025 but the style hasn't changed. However, the buttons on the panels inside now light up blue except for the button for floor 1.
