SMILE THROUGH THE DARKNESS | Synth Noir Night Drive

SMILE THROUGH THE DARKNESS — a record for the hours when you're smiling at everyone and holding something heavy on your own. Whispered vocals, a bassline that keeps walking, and one line that stays after the song ends: "I smile through the darkness, I laugh through the rain." This is late-night synth noir. Play it on a dark drive, in headphones at 2 AM, or whenever you'd rather be understood than cheered up. NIGHTFERRY — after-hours electronic, new tracks and mixes every week. ▶ Subscribe:    / @nightferrymusic   Full lyrics below. Catch me before I fall... Catch me before I fall... Confetti falling down like winter snow A celebration where nobody knows The heavy secret hiding in my eyes Disguised behind a million sweet goodbyes The synthesizer hums a lonely song I keep on singing just to move along One step forward, two steps back Lost inside the midnight track I smile through the darkness, I laugh through the rain Dancing to the rhythm of a beautiful pain Every sweet memory stings like a thorn Waiting for the break of dawn I smile through the darkness, I laugh through the rain Waiting for the break of dawn The tempo speeds up but time stands still Chasing after every temporary thrill Hands up in the air, feeling so alone In a room of thousands with a heart of stone Louder! Turn it up higher! Burn the memories in the fire! I smile through the darkness, I laugh through the rain Dancing to the rhythm of a beautiful pain Every sweet memory stings like a thorn Waiting for the break of dawn I smile through the darkness, I laugh through the rain Waiting for the break of dawn Heart of stone... Waiting for the break of dawn... #synthnoir #darksynthpop #nightdrive
