Luna,
This song is my way of showing you something I don't think words have ever fully managed to explain: how profoundly important you became to me simply by being yourself.
When I think about us, I don't think first about some huge dramatic moment. I think about the tiny things. I think about Fragment East, the chaos of an Octane and Mirage fighting through it, the little crouch-spin that somehow became its own message between us, and all those late-night conversations that could turn into hours without either of us needing to force them into anything.
Those moments became important because they were ours.
October twenty-sixth became more than a date because it was the night my life crossed paths with yours. I couldn't have known then how much meaning that night would eventually carry. I didn't know I was meeting someone who would become such a significant part of my memories, my heart, and the way I looked at the future.
You didn't have to rescue me, fix me, or carry anything for me.
You simply became someone who made being alive feel more colorful.
You gave ordinary moments a reason to feel special. You became the person whose messages I wanted to see, whose presence could make everything feel more comfortable, and whose absence could make an otherwise familiar room feel completely different.
That's how I know your importance wasn't something I imagined.
It was in the smallest things.
It was in how naturally I wanted to share things with you. How easily hours disappeared. How a game could become a place of comfort because you were there. How two people separated by a screen could somehow create something that felt incredibly real.
And Luna, I want you to know that I never needed you to become some easier version of yourself.
I don't want a rewritten Luna.
I don't want a perfected Luna.
I don't want a version with every complicated part removed.
I want the Luna I actually came to know.
The guarded heart. The complicated beauty. The laughter. The softness. The little quirks. The person behind the messages. The person who became important without ever having to ask for that importance.
You are not replaceable to me because your place was never just an empty space waiting for someone else.
It became yours.
Nobody else has our memories.
Nobody else has your little ways of communicating with me.
Nobody else can recreate what October twenty-sixth became.
Nobody else can be you.
And that's why when I say I want you in my life, I mean something incredibly simple and incredibly deep.
I want you because I genuinely want you.
I want more ordinary days.
More ridiculous conversations.
More late nights that somehow become hours.
More moments where something completely meaningless to everyone else becomes something we'll remember forever.
I want the memories we already have to have company.
I want new ones.
I want the days we haven't lived yet.
I want to know what tomorrow could look like if you were part of it.
And I want you to understand that none of this comes from believing you are responsible for me.
I'm choosing my own life.
I'm choosing healing.
I'm choosing hope.
I'm choosing tomorrow.
And somehow, through all of that choosing, my heart keeps arriving at the same person.
You.
That's what makes this song hopeful to me.
It's not about being trapped in what happened.
It's about realizing there is still so much ahead.
There are still mornings I haven't seen, conversations we haven't had, jokes we haven't made, places we haven't explored, and memories that don't exist yet.
And if I get to choose who I want beside me for those moments, I want you.
Not because I can't stand alone.
Because I know exactly who I want beside me.
You taught me that connection doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful. It doesn't need perfect circumstances to matter. Sometimes the most important people enter your life unexpectedly and leave behind something that changes the way you see everything afterward.
That's what you did for me.
You made me softer.
You made me hopeful.
You reminded me there could still be beautiful chapters ahead.
And I hope you never confuse your importance to me with a responsibility you have to carry.
Your importance comes from something much simpler:
I cherish you.
I miss you.
I want you here.
I want the real you.
And after everything, I still choose you.
Not just once.
Not just when I'm missing you.
Not just because I'm remembering the past.
Continuously.
Because every time I imagine choosing the people I genuinely want in my future, my heart still knows exactly where it wants to go.
Back to Luna.
The one and only you.
And if tomorrow gives me another choice, I'll choose life.
I'll choose hope.
I'll choose myself.
And if there's a place beside me for you, I'll choose you there too.
Every time.
