*Limp* ML VW1285 on Bus Route 297

In this video, I take a ride on Route 297 between Neasden and Wembley Park. This route is currently in the process of converting to Electroliners so if you want a ride on a Gemini 2, I'd advise for you to get one quickly, or if you don't mind taking the 83, just get that as you'll have a much higher likelihood. VW1285 isn't in the best condition currently. I don't remember it performing this bad before but this video shows its deterioration quite well, I do believe. It's rubbish up Blackbird Hill and quite sluggish in general. You can find older VWs better than this one. But that's all. Enjoy the VWs at PV while they last. I'm going to task myself to try and get one on the 90 before they go. Route 297 runs between Ealing Broadway and Willesden, Bus Garage. Metroline operate the route out of their Perivale (PV) Bus Garage. The route currently uses a mixture of VWH and VMH-type hybrid vehicles, Gemini 2 B9TLs (which was the old allocation) and new-er Wright Streetdeck Electroliners, but will soon convert fully to the latter. © 2026 Jayden Emmanuel.
