SJNS #L50 | Divine Wholeness: God Doesn't Give Sickness

Does God use sickness to teach us lessons? Is salvation just about going to heaven, or is there more to it right now in our physical bodies? In this Bible study, we dive into the true meaning of New Testament salvation (sozo) and what it means to experience total wholeness in spirit, soul, and body. We break down the misconception that God inflicts disease to teach humility or character—because a good God cannot give what He does not have. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in your mortal body today. Salvation isn't just a future promise or a spiritual label; it is the invasion of divine life into our physical reality. 📖 Key Bible Verses Covered: Matthew 12:15 – "Great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all." 1 Thessalonians 5:23 – "May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless." Romans 8:11 – "He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you." 2 Timothy 1:10 & 1 Corinthians 15:54 – Death swallowed up in victory. 💡 Key Takeaways from this Message: The Meaning of Sozo: In Greek, salvation means to save, heal, deliver, preserve, and make whole—forgiveness and physical healing were never meant to be separated. God’s True Nature: Jesus never told His disciples to "receive tuberculosis" or "have some paralysis" to learn patience. Healing reveals God's heart for humanity. Your Body is a Temple, Not a Cage: God's goal was never to get you out of your body, but to dwell in your body and display His life through you. Practical & Spiritual Stewardship: How alignment in our faith, mind, nervous system, and physical health works together to honor God. 💬 Join the Conversation: What stood out to you most from today's study?
