This traditional Japanese helmet is often displayed for Children’s Day (Kodomo no Hi) in Japan. The design is created using a variation of the heart-fold technique, which I often use in my origami creations. You can display the kabuto on its own, or combine it with origami children or animals to make a lovely seasonal decoration.
